Dulquer Salmaan’s much-anticipated film, ‘King of Kotha,’ is all set to hit the screens tomorrow, on August 24th. The actor has been actively promoting the film, and in a recent interview, he shared a candid story about his early days in acting.
Dulquer Salmaan reminisced about a pivotal moment when he broke the news to his family about his aspiration to pursue a career in acting. He revealed that it was a rather emotional and challenging time for him.
He recalled how his father, Mammootty, responded firmly, emphasizing that he wouldn’t use his influence or connections to smooth the path for him. Mammootty, a respected figure in the film industry, made it clear that he had established his own place in the industry through hard work and determination, and Dulquer should do the same.
Interestingly, Dulquer Salmaan revealed that it was his elder sister who took the initiative to support his dreams. She actively searched for an acting course in Mumbai and, within the same week, helped him enroll by arranging a demand draft. This marked the beginning of his journey as an actor.
Meanwhile, ‘King of Kotha’ is gearing up for a grand release in multiple languages, including Malayalam, Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, and Kannada. Directed by debutant Abhilash Joshiy, the film boasts a stellar cast, including Aishwarya Lekshmi, Dancing Rose Shabeer, Gokul Suresh, Prasanna, Nyla Usha, and Chemban Vinod, in key roles. Described as a gangster drama, Dulquer Salmaan shared his thoughts on the film, stating, “I don’t usually delve into this genre or play such characters, so it’s quite new for me. I’ve personally dubbed for it in all four languages, as I believe it’s crucial. It’s a film about friendship, filled with love, emotions, and a touch of humor. The movie also boasts exceptional music, and I hope it resonates with audiences across the nation.”
