Vanitha Film Awards Announced, Mammootty bags Best Actor

The Vanitha Film Awards were announced on Wednesday and “Pranchiyettan and the Saint” won five awards. Ranjith won three awards for Best Writer, Director and Best Film Producer. Mammootty won the award for Best Actor and Mamta won the award for Best Actress. Jagathy Sreekumar received the Lifetime Achievement award.

Other awards included Biju Menon for Supporting Actor, Mithra Kurien for Supporting Actress, Yesudas for Best Male Singer, Shreya Ghoshal for Best Female Singer, Rafeeque Ahmed for Best Lyricist, Gopi Sunder for Best Music Director, Siddique for Best Villain, Salim Kumar for Best Comedian, Kunjakko Boban and Archana Kavi for Best Star Pair, Ann Augustine for Best Newcomer, and Venu for Best Cameraman. The awards will be presented on February 19th in Kozhikode.
