Earlier, reported that Mammootty had committed to a new project titled “Bramayugam,” to be directed by Rahul Sadasivan of “Bhoothakaalam” fame. The film commenced production in August of this year, and now, the filmmakers have unveiled the film’s first look.

Interestingly, this first look was revealed on Mammootty’s 72nd birthday, and in the monochrome image, the actor exudes an air of malevolence.
Producer Chakravarthy Ramachandra, operating under Night Shift Studios, a production banner explicitly devoted to the horror and thriller genres, is financing “Bramayugam.” A statement from the production describes the film as “a narrative firmly rooted in the dark historical epochs of Kerala.”
In addition to Mammootty, the film features Arjun Ashokan, Sidharth Bharathan, and Amalda Liz in significant roles. The filming locations include Kochi and Ottapalam, with Shehnad Jalal as the cinematographer and Shafique Mohammed Ali as the editor. The musical score for the film will be crafted by Christo Xavier.
“Bramayugam,” presented jointly by Night Shift Studios and YNOT Studios, is scheduled for a theatrical release in early 2024. It will be available in Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, and Hindi languages.
