Actor Mammootty’s latest film, “Daddy Cool,” has been confirmed for a July 30th release date. The movie, written and directed by debutant Ashik Abu, comes only three weeks after the release of “Pattanathil Bhootham,” and is expected to be another commercial success, particularly among children.
“Daddy Cool” is a comedic and thrilling tale featuring Mammootty as Antony Simon, a relaxed police officer who loves spending time with his 6-year-old son playing cricket and relaxing, rather than being at work. Richa Palod will play the female lead, while Vijayraghavan, Baburaj, and Biju Menon will have supporting roles. The film is produced by Alvin Antony and Bose Kurian under the banner of Aninya Films and distributed by Marakkar films.
Despite the fact that the Onam festival falls in the first week of September, “Daddy Cool” will be marketed as Mammootty’s Onam release. With the Noyambu (Ramzan fasting) period starting on August 21st, the film will enjoy a three-week run before the holiday begins.
